English Holiday Cruises own and operate MV Edward Elgar, a well-established and comfortable vessel providing full-board holiday cruises through the stunning Severn Vale. This vessel can accommodate up to 22 people all in twin outside cabins with en-suite facilities. The cruises last 2, 4 or 6 days, with all meals prepared on board and an attentive crew on hand. Edward Elgar stops off at interesting sights along the way, such as the Wetlands Centre in Slimbridge, the Cathedrals in Gloucester and Worcester and the Abbey in Tewkesbury. The Captain explains the local sights at each port of call. One of the holidays includes an outing on the Severn Valley Railway. While cruising, there are superb views of the Severn Vale from the panoramic top deck. The daily routine is gently paced, making for a relaxing touring holiday. English Holiday Cruises have a lot of experience with groups, accommodating around 20 every year for the past 5 years. Prices are very reasonable, starting at £195pp for the 2-day, 2-night cruise, on a full board basis. Edward Elgar has a three-star rosette rating from VisitBritain.
